We were able to sign a contract for a huge project – the reconstruction of the historic communication between the defensive works!
The works will include restoration of posterns, gates and portals, abutments, and the icing on the cake – reconstruction of fortress bridges in the section: Ravelin – Horn Fort – Esplanade – Upper Bastion – Donjon together with technical infrastructure.
This is a landmark event in the history of our Historical Monument – by 2024 we will have carried out the largest scope of renovation works since the construction of the Fortress! And there is a lot to save – since a week, when the frosts stopped, every day the walls of the Fortress have been pouring into moats, we hope that we will overtake the balance of losses thanks to the undertaken renovations.

The project entitled “Revitalization for cultural and educational purposes of degraded and inaccessible parts of the Historic Monument of the Stronghold of Srebrna Góra” received funding from the Programme “Culture” of the European Economic Area Mechanism 2014-2021, Measure 1. Improvement of cultural heritage management, Sub-measure 1.1. Restoration and revitalization of cultural heritage.

The value of construction and conservation works for Task 1 – PLN 12 887 694.00 gross.
The completion date is February 2024.
